Submitting your blog to Yahoo Site Explorer is a necessary step in getting your blog noticed. It is relatively easy and should only take about ten minutes. There are two parts to this process as you will want to add both your actual blog (www.yourdomain.com) and your blog’s RSS feed. If you use a blogging platform such as WordPress or Blogger, your posts are automatically generated into an RSS feed, so you would just need to enter the feed’s URL (examples below).
First things first…
1. Sign-in to Yahoo Site Explorer using your yahoo account (sign up is free if you don’t have an account).
2. Type your site/blog URL as shown in the image below and click ‘Add My Site’.
3. Authenticate your blog. Click ‘Authentication’ from the left menu bar, choose ‘By adding a META tag to my home page’ and copy the META TAGS given. This code must be pasted within the header section of your blog’s home page (learn how to add meta tags to WordPress blogs)
4. Next, add your blog’s RSS Feed by clicking ‘Feeds’ from the left menu bar. Type your Feed URL in the space provided and click ‘Add Feed’ (WordPress and Blogger examples below).

http://www.yoursite.com/feeds/posts/default
